Shalay Bridals (kinda)
I've been trying to expand my portfolio a little bit, so even though they have been married for almost 3 years, Shalay was gracious enough to bring her wedding dress up from Utah when her and Jon came to visit a few weekends ago. I love how they turned out! Shalay is such a natural model, I hardly even posed her! It was so easy to take pictures of her. The hard part was picking out my favorites. There were so many favorites. She seriously doesn't take a bad picture. Enjoy!

Jon & Shalay
Jon and Shalay are good friends of ours. We've spent the last two summers together in Sacramento. I had a lot of fun taking their pictures. I just love when couples are so in love and you can just tell in all the little ways. I think it really shows in these pictures. They are such great examples to me in being sweet and tender with your spouse.

The Lake Family
I was able to take some pictures of my sister's family while in Southern California a few weeks ago for baby Michael's blessing. Taking pictures of a three year old who hadn't had a nap isn't always easy. Matthew's attention span was about 2 milliseconds. He did not want to look at me, let alone smile at me, which made things even more difficult, but I think we got a few great family photos still.

Michael Lake's Baby Blessing
When each Greer girl was blessed my mom got pictures taken with us in her temple whites and in our baby blessing dresses. My sister did the same thing with her little Matthew, and I was so fortunate enough to be able to take the pictures for Michael's blessing. Jen was looking for the baby blanket that she made to bless each of her children in when she was in her whites and started to cry when she couldn't find it, and her son Matthew (who is a few days away from three years old) said "Don't cry momma, you're an angel." It was so cute. He thought she looked, or rather was, an angel dressed in all white. I think the pictures came out great, the all white looks so heavenly. It was so hard to pick favorites because 1: my sister is gorgeous and extremely photogenic so she looks great in every picture 2: there were 50 favorites and 3: my nephew is so stinkin cute. But I did what I could to narrow it down..
